About Cassandra Farrin

Cass-and-KaiMukashi mukashi (a long time ago) a redhead from Idaho moved to Japan and fell in love with the people, the culture, and the religious traditions, but after a while she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to the United Kingdom and left Japan to study comparative religions on another island in a different part of the world. Since then, she has adopted children with her twin sister, gone on many adventures, and circled back to Idaho, where she writes poetry, essays, and novels, attempts some tiny farm projects, and (still) studies religion & culture.

Ginger & Sage is written by Cassandra Farrin. Cassandra is a Young Adult (YA) novelist, essayist, and poet represented by Julie Tibbott and Jill Corcoran of Jill Corcoran Literary Agency. A US-UK Fulbright Scholar, she has an M.A. in Religious Studies from Lancaster University (England) and a B.A. in Religious Studies from Willamette University. Her work appears or is forthcoming in Frontier JournalCirqueconcīs, the Plath Poetry Project, the Ploughshares blog, and elsewhere. She is also currently writing a historical fantasy novel set in Japan.
